My Approach

I work in a person centered way – the belief that every human being is an individual with unique and valid thoughts, and knows instinctively what is best for them.

My aim is to foster your individuality and deepen your self awareness so that you can tap into and trust your inner resources and respond to the challenges in your life, your way. It’s not about giving you advice or deciding what is best for you, but is a collaborative relationship offering support, compassion and empathy so that I can support you to address the concerns that have brought you to therapy.

Our relationship is the most important factor for a successful outcome in therapy. You will always be my focus and though I may at times draw upon other models to guide our work, we’ll work together to find the best way forward for you.

It’s really important that you feel safe and comfortable with the therapist of your choosing. I offer a free initial 15 minute telephone or zoom consultation so we can get to know each other and get a feel for our connection. If after this you feel we are a good fit and could work together, we can arrange a suitable time and day and take it from there.

I’m happy to refer you to someone else if you feel it’s not the right time or if it’s not the right fit.

Confidentiality, trust and your privacy are very important to me so I will always endeavour to provide a safe and impartial space for you to speak openly and I will take good care of your personal information.
